FPS Environmental Limited in Partnership with Totalmobile – Lone Worker Safety

As part of this commitment, FPS Environmental has partnered with Totalmobile to improve lone worker safety. Many of our colleagues regularly visit sites on their own, making robust safety solutions essential.

Who are Totalmobile?

Totalmobile is a UK-based software company specialising in field service management and mobile workforce solutions. Totalmobile provides tools for job management, scheduling, and lone worker protection. Their safety platform is compliant with BS8484:2022.

Following a review of available options with the fantastic Tom Wheeler, FPS Environmental implemented a tailored range of Totalmobile’s lone worker safety solutions to suit different roles within the organisation. This includes SOS fobs, an SOS wristwatch, and app-based functionality via company smartphones.

All devices provide access to 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centres, offering virtual buddy support and active listening where risks are present, with immediate escalation to emergency services if required. Additional features include GPS tracking, safe check-ins, and a ‘worker down’ function to detect falls, impacts, or prolonged immobility.

While these safeguards may never need to be activated, their presence offers valuable reassurance and reflects FPS Environmental’s ongoing commitment to protecting staff and fostering a safe working environment.
